    • Older Times in Drogheda

      Drogheda Oct 9, 2016 at 5:50 PM

When I was a child my father took us to Ireland where he was from.
he took us to see our uncle (his older brother) Patrick who lived in Drogheda but the pics I see are not how I remember it, it may be that it was on the outskirts I remember is was very quiet not many dwellings in fact my uncles home was very basic single story dwelling and it had an old stem roller outside.
Just wondered if anyone has any clue as to where exactly this might have been long shot I know!

      Train from Dublin to Belfast

      Ireland Oct 5, 2016 at 10:09 AM

We are going to Ireland in November and will be taking Irish Rail train from Dublin to Belfast. Is it necessary or advantageous to book those tickets in advance? I am a little hesitant to do that and lock into a departure time because we will be taking a bus from Dublin Airport to the Dublin train station. While flight is sceduled to arrive at 7AM who knows when we would eventually get to the station. I am thinking it might just be easier to buy tickets at train station. Would the Dubin-Belfast train be that crowded in November? Any advice would be most welcome.

      Moving from Dublin to Wexford

by bayloric Online Now Feb 8, 2015 at 2:35 AM

Wife and I are seriously considering leaving dublin to find affordable accomodation. Online the pricing for housing in wexford seems very good but we don't know anything about the areas which are good to live in. Could somebody give us some advice as a married couple looking to make the move? Thanks.

Hi my name is Nebojsa I`m Serbian I applied for job in Ireland online it`s company in Wexford called Lionbridge who is searching for person who knows Croatian language (Croatian Speakers required in Wexford). For Serbians is required work permit to work in Ireland, and I know that the employer rarely employs workers who don`t have work permit. So my question is because knowledge of Croatian language is very rarely, and I guess that few workers from the EU knows that language is it possible to person who don`t have work permit gets the job,are the company willing to invest in workers without work permits for such type of work.Is there anyone who is interested to share their experience about it.Thank you very much...

    • Kids Hush Puppies Shoes

by williamsonsusan Online Now Jan 24, 2010 at 1:27 PM

In August 2009 we bought Hush Puppies Shoes for my son and his dad. We cant remember the name of the shop. It was a smallish shop. It was past the main shopping street down a little and sold clothes like Wrangler and Levis etc. as well as shoes. Can anyone help? Any suggestions?

    • Where would you eat in Wexford with kids

by susacha Online Now Jun 26, 2009 at 8:24 AM

They are quite civilised and love to eat out, so it doesn't have to be McDonalds, but I don't want to spend an absolute fortune. Somewhere nice but not crazily expensive where people won't frown at me for having brought children. We'd be gone by 8.30.

    • Are there any nice clothes shops in Wexford?

by susacha Online Now Jun 26, 2009 at 8:21 AM

I'm in my 30s and like 'high street' shops like Zara, Mango, Monsoon, Next, H&M, all the ones you get up in Dublin. Just wondering if a trip to Wexford to look at clothes would be worth it.

Hi, I will be staying around the Kilmuckridge area between Arklow and Wexford for a week in July. Any ideas on interesting destinations for day trips (have car) or local fishing. Fly fishing for trout and/or sea fishing excursions (mackerel/pollack) would be good.
