      July visit

Washington State Jan 16, 2017 at 7:25 AM

      Hi all

We're planning a road trip to Washington (State) in July and I'd be interested in your views about the timing. Are we likely to encounter more crowds if we go immediately after July 4th rather than a bit later in the month, or is it just going to get busier if we leave it till the second half of the month? I do already know we should avoid Mount Rainier NP at weekends so we'll factor that into our planning.

Advice on where to stay: Seaview, Ilwaco, Long Beach

by Mmasarech Online Now Dec 13, 2006 at 3:17 PM

My husband is planning a trip to the Seaview area in early January. He is doing research for a book he's writing, and he'll be by himself for 4-5 days. It looks like all the Long Beach Peninsula towns are rather sleepy.

I welcome opinions on which town (Seaview, Ilwaco, or Long Beach) would have the most options for affordable meals. He'll have a car, but he likes to walk around.

Ideas for lodging (under100/night) are welcome, too. There seem to be quite a selection of vacation cottages and motels.

      Many thanks.
