Baguette et Chocolat - seems to be an ethical place

by David.B Online Now Apr 21, 2008 at 3:11 AM

Just researching places in Sapa (and Hanoi) and came up with web sites that say that Baguette & Chocolat in both places is part of a cooking training school for disadvantaged youths. If this is so then I will be there as soon as I arrive in Sapa! Good on them. Any comments welcome.

Regards, David

That's right, the Hoa Sua Schools have set up these places to help the disadvantaged youth. I have never visited the place in Sapa, but had breakfast at Baguette & Chocolat in Hanoi a few times while I was there in July 2006. And breakfast was excellent : fresh fruit salad, freshly baked baguette with honey,... in a very nice environment. I still have some leaflets with some information about the Hoa Sua Schools.

they only have 4 rooms, simple but ok.
Food is nice. You should call them to keep room when you are in hanoi.
    They often full-booked.
