I have about 7-8 days in Mexico.
My interests are photography and historical sites.

      I am thinking about spending
4 days in Mexico city with side trips to Puebla and Teotihuacan ruins
3-4 days in guanajuato - side trips to Morelia and San Miguel

are the side trips doable? or are they too far to enjoy for a day trip?
Should I just stay in Mexico city and do day trips from there the whole time?
      any suggestions would be appreciated.

Where is San Agustin de las Juntas?

by artpaws Online Now Jan 21, 2003 at 12:11 PM

I am planning on returning to Oaxaca in the next 2 yrs, because we love the people and the artesans. There is a new woodcarver whose work I like very much named Augustin Cruz Tinoco, who lives in San Agustin de las Juntas. I've only found it on one map, and not very well located. The artist has even signed with, I think, his address: "Barrio El Cuajilote, Priv.colosio #9". Does anyone know this area? I think it's just a couple miles south of Oaxaca. Thanks
