      Mazatlán Jul 20, 2016 at 7:51 AM

Does anyone know how to book a shuttle from the airport to the Golden Zone. I hear they are only about 75 pesos. I am trying to get my sister to the Golden Zone from the airport without having to pay the 300 pesos for a taxi.

    • Is it safe for a 20 year old woman to travel Nuevo Laredo

Nuevo Laredo Jun 29, 2016 at 5:34 PM

I am thinking about visiting family in Nuevo Laredo. I hope to visit in August. It's been ten years since I been there. I am Hispanic and I speak Spanish a little bit but I have the accent. So my question is ..is it wise to visit there.

      Baja California ...

      Mexico Jul 8, 2016 at 1:11 AM

So...I was supposed to go to Chiapas and Oaxaca this august but the latest news made me realize this isnt the best time, therefore I'm thinking about Baja California.
I'll be in Mex from August the 1st till the 19th, I'll be stayin the first few days in Mex DF, then I have from the 3rd or 4th till the 18th for Baja California. I don't really have a plan, just a general idea to start in Tijuana and go down to La Paz (I've been told to avoid Cabos San Lucas). Maybe rent a car and drive down...how would you suggest we move around? rent a car or by buses?
How about nice spots to stop, puerto Peñasco, ensenada, rosalito, la paz?

      Thanks for any advice!

    • Late day transpo Frontera Corozal to Bonampak and return

by dcfrogfish Online Now Jan 2, 2016 at 8:36 AM

      Hi --

I arrive late to Frontera Corozal, possibly 4 p.m. How long does it take to get to the ruins entrance by combi, taxi at the crucero San Javier then the Lacandon taxi for the final 5 minutes? Are there taxis in FC so I can go straight to Bonampak without connection at the crucero? Thanks. -- greg

Possible to go to Yaxchilan from Palenque and then head to San Cristobal?

by Ruchei Online Now Nov 8, 2008 at 1:16 PM

      Hello all!

I will have a short time in Chiapas and want to see Yaxchilan. I will be in Palenque on a Saturday and wonder if I could head to Yaxchilan on Saturday night, see the ruins on Sunday, and head to San Cristobal de las Casas from there on Sunday night.

Basically, need to figure out these:
How long does it take to Yaxchilan from Palenque?
How long does it take to see the ruins (including the river trips)
Is it possible to buy a tour to go there from Palenque, but then not return to Palenque but head to San Cristobal instead?

      Many thanks for your insights!

      Yaxchilan and Selva Lancandon

by e-katarina Online Now Jun 9, 2005 at 5:46 AM

I'm looking into doing a Yaxchilan/Lancandon jungle tour when I go to Chiapas this autumn.. Basically I really want to see Yaxchilan and see the jungle.. if I get to see Bonampak too, fine.. but I really want to get a feelof the jungle and spend the night, I know tours do that..

Has anyone done this and where can I book it ? I was just wondering how much it cost.. as I'm travelling on a budget and all.. A year ago I took a trip to Guatemala from Palenque and got a fare price.. is the jungle trip possible without spending too much?
