      Car Rental

      Paris Jan 25, 2017 at 3:02 PM

I want to visit Auver Sur Oise when I am in Paris next time (April) and was thinking I might rent a car to drive there and back. I think there is only one train in and one train out per day (direct on weekends). What location would be the best to rent the car so that I can avoid driving through the streets of Paris? I don't mind taking the metro to get to the car rental place, I just want to find a location on the outskirts of Paris in the direction of Auver Sur Oise. Thanks in advance.

      Work in Riberac

by bluebutterfly Online Now Nov 15, 2004 at 6:00 AM

We have a house near Riberac, and after a recent operation are looking to semi-retire to France. Is there any call for teaching English as a second language in the area? I know there's a sizeable British contingent in and around the town, so perhaps some of the locals see a need for English. Also, can anyone explain if there are reduced rates on the TGV, as there are in England with various rail cards. We live in the north east of England, so cheap fares from local airports don't exist, and Stansted is quite a haul. Flying to Paris and going onward by rail would be an alternative for us, Thanks, Rose
