    • Traveling to NYC for the first time.

New York City Nov 10, 2016 at 10:04 AM

This is all an impromptu trip for me (I fly out tomorrow). But I am wondering what are some of the must do's that I can fit into a weekend? I'm not really trying to go to the ESB or the Statue of Liberty; I'm more wanting to catch a pick up game at Rucker Park and visit the MoMA, things with more culture and where I can meet people and interact. I'd love to see SNL if at all possible though. I am a 25 year old man, if that helps any, lol. Any suggestions are extremely welcomed. Cheers!

horse and carridge ride around central park

New York City Nov 9, 2016 at 7:09 AM

      Hi there everyone.

Off to the big apple in April, this will be the 3rd time i have visited New York,so i have visited everything i want to see,but this will be my girlfriends 1st time.
One of the things on her list to do is,horse and carridge around central park,So a couple of questions.

1: Do they go around the whole park,or is there an option only to do some of it.
2: roughly how long does it take for the trip.
3: probably sounds like a daft question, but are the horses generally treated well?

      Many thanks,
      Ben

5 Pointz Area- Good or Bad?

by Chi-Guy Online Now Mar 27, 2011 at 4:59 PM

I am going to be in NYC for 4 days in early June and one of the things I found that I would like to see is 5Pointz. I am looking for ANY information regarding the area. Is the area rough? Not only the area, but the area I may take to get over there. Is there a footbridge from Manhattan (I am staying near Times Square) to get there? Or should I take a train? Bus? Is there anything to see on the inside? ANY help would be MUCH appreciated! By the way- I will only be with my 15 year-old daughter. So if there is any chance of the area being rough I simply won't go. Thanks for your help!

      Noguchi Museum

by alvi21 Online Now Feb 19, 2011 at 5:06 PM

      Dear VTers,

I'm visiting friends in NYC next month (March 2011) and would like to visit the Noguchi Museum in Queens. In order to have a better idea of my itinerary planning, I'd like to ask experienced museum-goers how much time (estimated average) one might spend at the Noguchi Museum.

Thanks in advance for your help!
