    • Bed & Breakfast recommendation near Pompeii

by rick1035livecom Online Now Aug 8, 2011 at 12:46 PM

We're looking for a comfortable, reasonably priced B&B near the ruins at Pompeii. Would you care to make a recommendation based upon past experience?

      Much appreciated,

      Rick

Do I have to book to visit 'some' places in Pompeii?, and how to?

by blomon Online Now Jul 1, 2006 at 7:29 PM

I heard that I have to book to visit some places in Pompeii,
(4 places, but I'm not sure which ones exactly are)

so, I visited their hompage 'ARETHUSA', but it seems like
      they don't have english version.

do you know how to make reservations for that?

    • Do I need to join a tour to get the most out of Pompeii?

by LaurenAmy Online Now May 21, 2006 at 4:58 PM

Can anyone tell me whether I'll be able to understand what I'm looking at in Pompeii if I don't go with a tour? Are there tour guides available outside the site? I want to get the most out of my visit, and if that means joining a tour I'm happy to do that, but if it's not necessary, I'd rather go alone.

    • Travelling from Naples Airport to Pompeii

by GeeGee1 Online Now Feb 13, 2006 at 2:13 PM

Hi. Can anyone please tell me how long it takes to get from Naples Airport to Piazza Garibaldi on the Alibus airport shuttle and how often these buses run? Also can anyone give me an idea of how often the Circumvesuviana trains to Pompeii Scavi run?

We are off to visit Pompeii for the first time and will be arriving in Naples late afternoon. We can't decide whether to book a private transfer (anyone got any idea as to cost of transfers?) or whether to do our usual and "wing it" when we get there.

Any help would be much appreciated.
