Thanks in advance!

Are there any car or bus tours through Lofoten in February or early March
I am travelling to Lofoten in first week of May. Is driving in Lofoten difficult? I am from Indian and we drive on the left side of the road unlike in Norway. What are the speed limits in Lofoten and how is the traffic there? Can i get motor cycle on rent in Lofoten? How much does it cost?
Hi. I have a full day in slovaer and my accomodation is in slovaer too. Wondering what I can do as early as day break and besides visiting reine, any other recommendations pls?
we are coming in June aboard NCL Star and would appreciate advice on what to see in such a short time please.
we are planning to visit Lofoten in early may.. First stop being Reine.
I would like to know if it is a good time to be there , and whether there will still be snow.
Personally i prefer more greenery and clear skies.. can i expect that in first week of May ?
Would appreciate any suggestions, else i might plan my trip a bit late in the month of May.
I was wondering if a one week visit is sufficient or would I have to stay longer, I will be in Skandinnavia for a while and I found a company that offers one week tours (www.exploranor.com).
Any experiences with that company?
Will a week be long enough?
Furthermore I read that people surf in Unstad (unstadarcticsurf.com), I am an beginner, will I still be able to surf there?
That would make the trip perfect!
Can someone recommend me any nice hikes in the Lofoten?
Just wondering if someone can provide advice about the road conditions that could be expected in late March. I drive on the left hand side of the road at home so feel a little uncertain about driving in Lofoten Islands. I would also be keen to have an understanding about how busy the roads are likely to be at that time of the year.
Hi can anyone link me some website or explane me how i can find prices of buses in Norway? im planning to go from Narvik to Moskenes and than one more time from Andalsness - Trollstigen - Geiranger and back. Anyone know how much are these two trips? thanks a lot
what is the best route from bodo to kirkenes
So, we're doing a bike tour in Lofoten in August. Is it worth making a round trip (Which would be about 400 km) along the southern coasts first and the northern coasts getting back? Or are we better off getting from Moskenes to Svolvaer in one go and then use the days we have left for something else around Bodo, or for going further west of Svolvaer?
I'm planning to camp in a tent end of August in the lofoten and since I did not find many information or previous experiences for this, I am wondering if it is realizable in terms of weather and temperature, with a simple small tent (type quecha 2 seconds) and a good sleeping bad. What would you advise? Do you have any recommendations? Thank you!!
I'm coming to Lofoten in mid-June. How serious of rain and wind gear will I need to pack?
Also, are wool sweaters appropriate?
What are the road surfaces like on the minor roads in Lofoten? Are they Tarmac or gravel?
We are 2 friends going to Lofoten in early October and would like to rent a scooter to travel around the island. Has anyone experience in renting a scooter in Lofoten? I saw in a website it costs aroung 300NOK/day. Can anyone recommend me any scooter rental service other than rent-a-car website? I don't have the international driving licence, I only have Vietnamse driving license for 50cc-175cc scooter. is it acceptable?
another thing, is it dangerous to drive a scooter in Lofoten?
Thanks much for your help.
HI, our family is traveling to Lofoten from the US in January. We are in search of seeing the Northern Lights and would like to know if it is possible to rent a car and drive around Lofoten in January. Also any suggestions as to what to do and what not to miss in the island. Where to stay? and how many days should we allow considering there won't be too much light.
Do I need a high level of (or specialist) insurance for hill walking in Lofoten please?
I would like to take a trip from Svolvaer to Stamsund on 6 Oct 2013 by bus route 18-741 and 18-767 according to route schedule. But, according to the seaching system in this web nri.websrv01.reiseinfo.no/nr..., no service is available on that day. Please advice the availability of the services on that day and would you advice any other alternatives way of public transport on that day. Thanks
I am doing a photo trip for Northern Lights Mar 5-10 /13 and am trying to figure out a packing list. Temps on line show around freezing, but not sure what wind, rain/snow and dark of night might be like. I'm from Canada so have lots of heavy winter gear, but my question is how much will I need. Heavy winter boots, or hiking boots and warm socks? Wind/rain overpants and long underwear, or insulated snowmobile type pants? Tips from anyone who has been there in March would be helpful, or especially anyone who has done a Northern lights photo trip?
I’m planning to make a trip to Lofoten this june and I have a few questions which I need help on.
First of all, I’m planning to head over to Lofton by taking a ferry from bodo. I’ll be trying get around by bus, bikes or just walking. (I won’t be renting a car since I don’t have a driver’s license.)
1. Is Reine accessible and a good place to stay? Or would it be better to stay in other villages like Henningsvaer or Å?
2. Due to a budget constraint, I would prefer to rent a room in a guesthouse or an apartment rather than a Rorbuer. Are there any other similar accommodations in Reine like this? --> lofoten-info.no/hotellet/eng...
3. Am I able to go for fishing trips like this --> datadesign.ws/x-Hellvaag/Eng... in Reine?
On our last trip to Norway, we did not have a car while we visited the Lofoten Islands. This limited our movement. We stayed outside Svolvaer and had to take a taxi to our hotel and then were lucky that our hotel had bicycles to borrow so we could go out and eat our meals.
So on an upcoming trip to the islands (August this year), we want to get a car. Where is the best place to rent a car? Can we rent one in Svolvaer (we'd prefer to use that as our gateway to the islands, taking the express boat from Bodo). Or we may fly to Harstad/Narvik Airport Evenes. Can we get a car there? A third option is what visitnorway.com says: "If you drive, you can take the car ferry from Bodø across to Moskenes, Værøy or Røst. Or you can drive further north of Bodø, to Skutvik, and take the car ferry across to Skrova or Svolvær."
What's recommended - what's the best place to get a car to get around the islands?
I'll have a free day in Svolvaer on Monday, March 7 (I've been there before) and am thinking of either taking the ferry to Skrova, going to Kabelvag (I've been to Henningsvaer), or taking the bus to Fiskebol.
Any suggestions or comments on which would be best?
Thanks very much.
Me and my friends are planning a trip to Norway in the first week of March of 2011.
We´ll be standing for 2 days in Tromso and then we want to go to the Lofoten Islands. We were thinking of going to the southern of Lofoten, to Reine or Ä, and stay in a Rorbuer for 2 nights.
From there we are expecting to take a ferry to Bodo.
So, can anyone help me to pick the fastest way from Tromso to Reine or Ä?
And in wich village do we stay? Reine or Ä? Or, does anyone have another suggestion?
Wouls be appreciated if some experts could advise whether there's any left-luggage centre at Moskenes ?
We will be arriving Moskenes port at 5.00 early morning in March'2011 , thinking of dropping our luggage at the centre & do a detour to A & Reine & back to Moskenes to pick up our luggage ,then going by bus to Stamsund ( stay 2 nights ) .
We have 3 full days in Lofoten , can we head to the Northern part like Svolvaer & Henningsvaer & back to Stamsund within the 2nd day ?
Our 3rd day will be touring the Central part like Stamsund & Leknes , we then leave for Bodo from Stamsund late at night ( arriving Bodo during Midnight )
Thank you very very much ....

Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks !!

I'm travelling from Spain to Lofoten in the end of October. Does anybody know which is the nearest international airport to Lofoten islands?. And after arriving the best and possibly cheapest way to get to Lofoten.
Once there, the best city or village to conssider it as a base camp to visit the rest of the islands?
Thanks again to everyone
Hi everybody, my name is Roberto from Spain and I'm planning to go to the Lofoten islands in the end of October. I have thousands of questions to ask, and I don't know where to start. It's my dream to sea the northern lights, and I have been trying to plan this trip for some years now, but I never got up to it.
First of all, is it the right time of the year to see the northern lights?
If it is, I need loads of information about places to stay (very low budget), the best and cheapest way to get to Lofoten. What transport combinations are best from Spain ...
I'm sorry I have too many questions.
I have been looking a lot of websites, most of them very good, and got lots of info, but as I don't know exactly how to do it I feel really lost.
If you can help me I will thank you ever so much.
