    • Colosseum Tickets/Tour

      Rome Nov 15, 2016 at 10:49 PM

      Hi All,

I am hoping for a recommendation for a tour company to book with to take a tour of the Colosseum(inc underground and third ring)?

It seems the recommended "official" ticket website coopculture.it sells tickets online which are only valid until the 31st December- we would like to book for the 9th Jan.

      Any suggestions??

      Thanks in Advance

      Hello everybody.
I will travel to Rome with my family next month. It is my first time in Rome, and I would like to find a really nice restaurant, not too expensive, to celebrate my birthday. Any suggestions will be wellcome.

Our hotel is near Teatro dellĀ“Opera.

      Thanks in advance.

Family friendly apartment rental or residence at Lago di Bolsena

by Trekki Online Now Apr 28, 2010 at 10:06 AM

      Hello :-)

this is a question I am asking for a colleague (non-VTer) who is looking for a family friendly apartment at Lago di Bolsena. She, hubby and two kids (7 and 9) did some daytrips to Capodimonte during another holiday and the kids were absolutely thrilled with lake and location.
They are looking for a self-catering apartment, ideally in a holiday village/resort/compound/complex (I don't know the proper English word) near the lake. They found one, called Residence Valdilago (Val di Lago on Google Earth):
      italyfarmhousesrental.com/Va...
but have heard that it is nearby a campground where people would party until 3 in the night :-)

Lago di Bolsena has an excellent website with a huge list of all kinds of accommodation:
      lagodibolsena.org/en/index.h...
But I wanted to ask first if one could recommend any in particular.
They don't have specific requirements for a village, just look for a nice place, ideal for the kids, access to the lake (or not that far from the lake), an apartment with 2 bedrooms and a complex where the kids can run around freely.

      Thanks in advance :-)
