Can you purchase this pass at Yokohama Station or do you have to get off at Ofuna Station?

Kamakura - Sights and Opening Hours during National Holidays

by wereldreiziger Online Now Apr 5, 2009 at 7:51 AM

      Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with the following:

My visit to Tokyo is planned during the national holiday period (staying from 2 - 6 May) and during that time I would love to visit Kamakura. There are no tours available during the holiday period and I was wondering if anyone knows if the sights (temples, shrines, etc) will be open during this period.

If so, I probably head over there myself and do some wondering around.

Hope that someone can help me out with this issue.

      Thanks in advance!

    • Accomodation

by MDT Online Now Nov 11, 2006 at 1:23 AM

Will be in Japan for 5 days in January. As we will be flying into Tokyo it has been suggested we have 2 nights in Kamakura. Would this be a good idea? If so does anyone know of some decent accomodation, ideally in a Ryokan or similar.

      Cheers

      Mike

Hello, I'm planning a trip to Japan this summer, and I only have one day for a one day trip around Tokyo.
What is the best choice, Kamakura or Nikko.

      Thank you
