I would welcome ideas on places to drive in Jordan. All my research indicates there are no issues with driving, but you may know unique places to see that, only by driving, can be so seen.
Thank you for your comments.
Hi! I am trying to plan next summer ( northern hemisphere) holiday.

I am going to Jordan at the end of February for 12 nights. I wish to visit Petra and also head to Aqaba to enjoy a few days of diving. Should I head to Petra first then down to Aqaba or go down to Aqaba first and then head back to Amman via Petra? How many days should I spend in Petra? Are there any other places that I really should see whilst in Jordan?
what can i do in Aqaba at night
Hello, I would kindly like to ask you if there is any requirement or issue to go by car from Aman to Jerusalem for 2 days and come back to Jordan.

Hi everyone! I am going to Jordan in the first half of October. I found out that in these days they will celebrate the Islamic New Year's Eve. Has anyone experienced it while in Jordan? Which are the travel limitations? Are taxis and buses available for tourists?
Moreover, I was wondering on Friday which are the limitations too.
Thank you very much!
I'm currently in Amman and would like to travel to Dead Sea tomorrow. I'm planning to take the Jett bus, which leaves Amman at 9am and then leaves Dead Sea back for Amman at 5pm.
I would appreciate if someone let me know:
- Are there different stations to get off Jett bus in Dead Sea or only one station? If there are several stations, which one is better chose in terms of finding a better beach?
- About the beach: which one is good in terms of both pricing and conditions?
- Are there any restaurants nearby so that we don't starve till 5pm? :))
Can anyone suggest a must see places, mode of transportation, travel time, do's and don'ts in Jordan for a 4-day tour. Arriving Amman, Jordan at 12:50 am on the 23rd September and leaving 26th September 09:00 am.
Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Hi, what is the cheapest way to travel from Taba to Aqaba and what company can we arrange this through please
Please advise when I can buy reasonably priced cosmetics with Dead Sea minerals in Amman.
I am from the united states supposed to leave tomorrow to go to Jordan. I do not have a visa because I was told I can get that upon arrival at the queen alia airport. I called the airline I am using because I read that when traveling internationally if the country you are visiting requires a visa an agent will check for the visa before departure. Is this going to pose a problem because i was planning on getting it at Queen Alia Airport.
Dead sea sun bath and mud treatment for psoriasis for a month on a backpackers budget: any suggestion / recommendation where to stay?
We will go to Petra on Thursday and will stay overnight at Wadi Musa. The day after (Friday) we want to go onto Jerusalen vía Amman. I know that there is a bus running daily in the afternoon (17.00?) from Petra to Amman, but I also know that it arrives late at night. Is possible to cross the bridge onto Israel at that time on Shabbat?
Otherwise, which is the fastest way to go by public transport from Petra to Jerusalem starting on Friday morning?
how many days do I spend in petra jordan ? is two sufficient?
Hi - I will be visiting a friend of mine soon and had a question about transportation for Petra.
I want to visit Petra and do the Petra by night. However, I will not be staying overnight so we need transportation from Amman to Petra and then back to Amman.
On Petra's website I did see a bus service, JETT, but they leave from Petra every night at 5pm. The Petra by night ends around 10 to 10:30pm.
Anyone who has been there or lives there, do you have any suggestions on what transportation service we could use?
Thank you in advance!
Coming from the U.S. - is it easy to navigate through the airport to get your visa? Where in the airport do you go to get it? Thx
I am planning a trip to Jordan either in September or December. Please help me understand what the weather would be in both the months.
Is there any restaurant opened during the day in Ramadan in downtown Amman/.
thanks in advance
We are on a cruise ship stopping in Aqaba for the day in October.
This will be our second visit to Aqaba, we have already visited Petra and so we are looking for something different to do.
We are not particularly interested in going to Wadi Run and wondered what other things we might be interested in spending our day seeing?
My wife, her best friend and I will be travelling to Jordan. We are looking to book a single hotel room with 3 beds. We are all Australian citizens and not Muslims. We do not want to be illegal, offend the local people. But we also want to travel relatively comfortable, safe and be economical We are asking in our situation
- Is it illegal under local/religious law to have a 3rd female adult to co-habit in a hotel accommodation?
- Is it comfortable to have 3 adults booked in a hotel room. (i.e. Are the hotel rooms fold-out beds really made for 3 adults or for kids)
Really appreciate your advice. Thanks Justin
I HAVE TRIED LOOKING FOR THIS ANSWER VIA GOOGLE and it's not clear--what are the hours of opening and closing of the Amman land border crossing into Israel? We are both USA passport holders and hope to be with a hired driver. I read it closes at 2pm? Please, if my question bothers you, pls don't answer! Too many negative replies for me on vt as of late.
The trip I am thinking of doe not start from Eilat like many others. You start in Jerusalem and cross thru Sheikh Husseiin, visit Jerash and Amman and spend the night at a Bedouin campsite in Petra the first day. The second day you explore Petra until mid-afternoon and then cross back into Israel via the Allenby Bridge and return to Jerusalem.
The company offering it is Petra from Israel.
Any thoughts about this?
Heard of this company?
