Trying to decide which of the amish communities to bring a senior motorcoach tour. Have been looking at lancaster, Dover, or Shipshewana. Which would be the best for a group of seniors? Mostly interested in the cultre/way of life, country tours and of course eating. Any help would be appriciated. Haven't been to either.(although Indiana,i.e. Shipshewana would be closer for us.)

Shipshewana is on the list of 1,000 places to visit before you die.

I assume that Lancaster is Lancaster, PA. Shipshewana has the Meno Ho museum of Amish and Mennonite history and culture. The town is accepting of the motor coach (45 passenger) busses, with parking and in-town drop-off accepted. If you're in Indiana, it's worth the stop. If you're trying to decide between the Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania Amish/Mennonite communities, I'd assume that PA is the largest, easiest to visit with large groups. I've only been to the Indiana and the Ohio communities. All are great, but to plan a specific trip, I'd go to the one closest. Less travel time.
