    • 9days in hungary

      Budapest Dec 2, 2016 at 3:53 AM

      Hi ,
4 adults ( 2 couples) in their 40's are planning to visit Hungary during mid Jan .we have 9 days there .we would definitely want to spend 2 or 3 nights in Budapest .after that really confused about the other places.we are looking for a chilled relaxed holiday .we prefer a holiday with food ,wine , and love to see beautiful architecture & nature .not very keen on seeing many museums .
we would like to visit small beautiful towns and villages .also we love places that have a good night life .
Since we have limited time ,not sure where all to go ...

I am confused if to go north like Eger ,Debrecen Esztergom ,tokaj etc...

Or to go south to Siofok ,pecs ,lake balaton. And any other interesting places there ...

Would be greatful if you would solve my situation .

      Thank you ,Deepa paul.

    • Romantic dinner

      Budapest Nov 11, 2016 at 1:39 PM

I'm going to Budapest in January with my boyfriend for his birthday and I want to take him out for a really nice romantic meal one night as a celebration.
Can anyone recommend a romantic, upmarket restaurant that's good for special occasions?
He likes fine dining, well presented, tasty food, but I'm a student and can't exactly break the bank. Budget is probably £80 for the two of us

      Please help!!!

      Hi,
Do any of your local travel agencies organize one day trips from Hajduszoboszlo to Budapest.?
Preferably with an English speaking guide but it is ok in the Polish language .
We are just tourists from Florida US and are making a tour around Europe in spring.

    • Canoeing along the Tisza through Hortobagy

      Hortobagy Jul 31, 2013 at 2:27 AM

I am visiting Hungary in August and as part of my trip I would like to canoe down the River Tisza, from Tokaj to Tiszafured over 5 days. However, I know that some parts of the river run through the Hortobagy National Park, and I have been told that I may need a permit to canoe in those parts. Could you advise me on what to do? Is a permit needed? And how can I obtain one?

    • Visiting Relatives in Nyiracsad

      Nyiracsad Feb 26, 2009 at 8:31 PM

Hello, I am hoping to visit Nyiracsad either later in 2009 or 2010. My gradfather was from there and I am hoping to meet some relatives while there. I'm sorry I don't speak Hungarian. My grandfather's name was Frank Thomas,/ Ference Tamas. He was born around 1897 in Hungary and died in 1927 in Hudson, Columbia County, New York from Pneumonia. When I travel to Hungary, are there any places in particular that I should go that might help me locate relatives? I just recently found out where my grandfather was from. Thank you for any help. If you are a cousin, aunt, uncle, please get in touch with me.
God bless you.....Donna Manuel, Alabama, USA
