Exhibits available in the Museum of Romanian Peasant

      Bucharest Nov 13, 2016 at 6:01 AM

It seems that some of the permanent exhibit halls of the Romanian Peasant Museum/Muzeul National al Taranului Roman are closed this month during our visit. Are the open-air exhibits, which include the wooden church, open during the museum's closure? How about the wooden mill? Thank you so much for any information. Trying to figure out if we should still visit the museum.

      Hi there,

I'll be in Galati Romania next month for a short holiday. Can you find money changers and ATM machines in Galati easily, or should I change in advance upon arrival at Otopeni Int'l airport?

going to Tulcea from Galati by boat

by supune Online Now Aug 21, 2004 at 8:24 AM

Hi, I need information on if it is possible to go from Galati to Tulcea by boat. How long will it take? Is there a ferry? My first 2 trips will be to Tulcea and Black Sea Here is my plan. I want to start on Saturday Sept 4th, 2004: take train to Galati and then work my way down to Tulcea (bus? ferry?). Spend the night in Tulcea and find a boat tour of the delta. Then, take the train to Constant and spend a day there. head back to Bucharest through Medgidia Is this a good idea? is it better to do it the other way( bucuresti to constanta, then Constanta to Tulcea (via Medigidia). find a way to Galati or Braila and come back to Bucharest by train. what I'm not sure of is how easy or hard it is to go from Galati or Braila to Tulcea (or vice versa). thanks for your advice.
