Later dinner at Otaru during Snow Light Path Festival

      Otaru Dec 20, 2016 at 6:38 PM

During the Otaru Light Festival We will only get into Otaru around 6pm since we will be skiing Mt Teine in the day. Upon arrival we would like to see the festival at both the canal and old railway track areas. I know light-up is until 9pm. Is there any dinner place which stay open late? So we can have something to eat after the visiting the light-up sites? Near the canal or the Otaru Station would be ideal...
Don't want to waste time eating before seeing the light-up..

      Tq, Mel

      Sapporo-Otaru Welcome Pass

      Otaru Dec 17, 2016 at 9:52 AM

I plan to go to Teine Highland Ski Resort for a day of skiing then onto Otaru for the Otaru Canal Snow Light Path Festival. Returning to Sapporo that evening. Does the Sapporo-Otaru Welcome Pass cover my JR train from Sapporo to Teine Station then Teine Station to Otaru Station later? Meaning my train journey from Sapporo to Otaru would be broken into 2 train rides.
Secondly, I'm taking the JR bus from Teine Station to Teine Highland Ski Resort and back to the station. Does the pass also cover this JR bus ride?

May i know whether Suica cards are available for sale at Haneda Airport? Which train operator sells these cards, Tokyo Monorail or Keikyu Line? I plan to fly non-stop to Haneda from Singapore on 20 September and from there travel to Odaiba or Shimbashi by train.

Japan > Vladivostok Ferry Options for THIS WEEK??

by vladferry Online Now May 3, 2009 at 5:06 AM

Looking for a way from Japan to Russia by boat this week. I'm aware of and have attempted to contact them, but it appears their ship will be under repair for at least another week. So - considering just going to the port of Fushiki/Takaoka/Toyama and trying to negotiate a ride directly with a boat if there's one headed to Russia. I speak Russian - though not Japanese. Anyone know if such a thing is feasible? Thanks!

Hallo! I will arrive at Fushiki in july by ship from Russia and I will have to go by train to Okazaki near Nagoya.
Can I walk from the ship to railway station?
At the station is their ticket counter or only machines? Can I pay ticket with european visa card? Is their bancomat at the station or other possibility to change money?
Can you perhaps indicate me a map of Fushiki in internet?

      Thank you!
