3 days in Paris before heading to Colmar. We are staying in st. German/ Latin quarter... Where is the best walkable jazz experience ion Paris? I don't need polished... Raw and passionate is just fine? Thanks, Loril

Here is a link to the Virtual Tourist Paris Jazz Clubs section. There are a lot of suggestions there with external web links and reviews. I did a Keyword Search in the VT Search Window above . . . a quick way to information but check the dates on the tips. Jazz Clubs, Paris

If you are looking at addresses of clubs, St. Germain has a postal code of 75006 and the Latin Quarter has a postal code of 75005. It's an easy way to tell if the club is within a reasonable distance. Get to know the Metro though and you won't have to worry about where it is, just how to get there and anyone at your hotel will be able to tell you. It's easy.

    Enjoy Paris.

The closest to you would probably be the Caveau de la Huchette, on the street of the same name in the 5th. Across the river is the Chapelle des Lombards at rue des Lombards. Have a look also at Les Trois Mailletz, more a piano-bar but sometimes jazz on rue Galande and just on the opposite corner at no. 52 rue Galande is "Les Oubliettes" which has different music every night, but Tuesday is jazz jam night, which may mean a bit more "raw". A friends son, Florian Pelissier, sometimes plays piano down there. They are also in the 5th

Hi, And if you cross twice the river you will find the Sunset/sunside and the Duc des Lombards in Chatelet area.
I advice you for the Duc des Lombards if there are 2 concerts for one evening to choose the second one.
