    • Your tips for safe travelling

      Hollywood Dec 19, 2016 at 9:08 AM

      Hello everyone,
Me and my husband are going to travel to America for the first time. We are European citizens and we are going to travel by car. The problem is that our English skills are poor and we don't know the areas safe for living or even driving through. We are planning to stay at Casa del Sol Beach Studios. The address is 333 Palm Street, Hollywood, FL 33019. What do you think about that place and its neighborhoods? Is it safe to travel by car from Miami to Key West? East and West Florida coasts? Thank you in advance.

    • Upcoming trip to Disney/Universal - so confused about how to plan it!!

      Orlando Jan 5, 2017 at 4:41 AM

      Hi All,

We're going to Orlando in late March/early April for 14 nights. 2 adults and 2 kids (5 and 7). Flights and hotel booked but now the dreaded investigation into Disney tickets, what to do, where to eat, etc!!

If anyone can help with some sort of broad itinerary and helpful tips/hints/recommendations, that would be amazing! I've picked up a couple of brochures from travel agents and spoke to some people but it all seems a bit overwhelming!

We want to visit the main Disney parks and Universal (main reason I'm going is for Harry Potter world!) and do some shopping at the outlets. If we can fit it in, a trip to Kennedy Space Center would be great but since it's our first time in Orlando, I suspect that we'll be consumed with Disney/Universal.

      Thanks in advance!

      Anchoring in the Dry Tortugas

by grandmaR Online Now Oct 4, 2003 at 3:16 PM

Someone came down to the dock yesterday and told my husband that you can no longer anchor off the Dry Tortugas. Does anyone know if that is true?

      Camp Ground and Location

by grandmaR Online Now Feb 17, 2003 at 2:02 PM

The NPS web site says the campground is closed until further notice. But that's the only place that has that information. It doesn't seem to be anywhere else out there. So is it closed or not? Also, I put Dry Tortugas into the Search and get "Dry Tortugas" and "Dry Tortugas National Park". And when I ask for locations near Dry Tortugas, I get that the National Park is some 2 miles away, and Garden Key is another 2 mile distance and Ft. Jefferson is another 2 mile distance (different from Garden Key and different from the National Park. Is there any way that can be reconciled?
