Travel flow around Salvador Nov 10-25

      Brazil Oct 19, 2016 at 7:42 PM

Flying into SSA around Nov 10 I want to visit the following places with minimal doubling back. How does this look?

Nov 10 -arrive Salvador for Foz de Iguacu
      3 nights Salvador -
3 days/2 night side trip Lencois (night bus from Salvador)
2 night side trip Sao Felix/Cachoreia (from Lencois via Feira de Santana (bus)
-Salvador via bus from Sao Felix/Cachoreia
3+ night side trip Morro de Sao Paulo or maybe on to Boipeba (boat/boat) Somewhere with a decent balance of not to busy but not too secluded. a little nightlife is good, no wild parties. I'm 55 :)
depart Salvador around Nov 25 for Rio

      Thanks in advance

      Chapada Diamantina

      Brazil Oct 19, 2016 at 7:13 PM

What is the weather like around Lençois in mid November? I read somewhere rains come in November. I'm thinking of a daypack only 3 day side trip from Salvador. Would I need rain gear?

My friends and I wanted to explore the chapada dos guimarães national park, do we need a tour guide for it? If yes, is it necessary to book one in advance or can we easily get one there at the hostel?

Are there any safety concerns when visiting Cuiaba?

I cannot find any information about a city tour if we want to spend the day in the actual city of Cuiaba! Does any one have any ideas/websites?

Exploring south of Cuiaba - Pq Nac. Pantanal - Mato-Gros. ; Fever Amerela.

My wife and I are visiting the Cuiaba area for 3 or 4 days in September and wondering what to do. Does anyone have any experiences with places South of Cuiaba that might be interesting to visit? We do not want to join any formal tours and would like to see a bit of the back country and local people.

Has anyone been to Pq. Nac. do Pantanal Mato-Grossenese? If so, how long does it take and any suggested places to visit within the park?

Lastly, do we need out fever amerela (yellow fever) shots before getting to Pantanal?
