      Charging stations Terminal D IAH

      Tampa Jan 31, 2017 at 5:46 AM

I have a phobia about alligators and yet I want somewhere warm for an end of Nov/Dec break. Are there any alligators on the beach at this time of the year - does anyone have personal knowledge of the situation

Apart from Disney what other attractions are there - we would like to do some touring but looking at the crime rate in Charleston/New Orleans we are scared as we came close to being run off the road in Washington DC near the Jeffereson library Plan to stay about 2-3 weeks so could do 1000/1500 miles comfortably with hotels interspersed

Can I add my thanks to VT which has been invaluable to me and enabled me to stay safe and see lots of places I wouldn't have seen. Only hope there is a last minute reprieve

    • Arizona/Utha in Fall

      Arizona Jan 29, 2017 at 9:49 AM

      Hi :)

I need some advice for travel. I want to go to Las Vegas this fall and then drive by car to Grand Canyon and etc.
      My plan looks like this:

First Day - Pick up the Car, drive to Hoover Dam and then to Tusayan

Second Day - Visit Grand Canyon. We are not really "hiking people", so everything that takes more thatn 2hrs round trip is probably to much. But as i seen on then internet, most places are pretty accesible by car or shuttle.

Third Day - Drive to Page, visit the Slot Canyons arount 11 AM (tours start then). and visit Horseshoe Bend in the afternoon

Fourth Day - Drive from Page to Bryce Canyon (about 3hrs). Anything nice to see on the way there?

Fifth Day - Visit Bryce Canyon

Sixt Day - Drive to Springdale for Zion NP (about 2hrs). Anything nice to see on the way there?

Seventh Day - Zion NP (visit The Narrows)
Eight Day - Zion NP - What should we do too?
Ninnth Day - Spend morning in Zion then drive back to Vegas, Anything nice to see on the way there?

What do you think, is it a good plan? Should we spend less/more at a specific place? We have read that roads in this area are usually straight and not crowded, so driving shouln't be a hussle.

      Any help is appreciated

We will be travelling in America this March, so we have decided to rent a car. We have heard that there are roads which require payments. 1. How can we pay these fees? Cash, credit card? Could rented car use sunpass and toll-by-plate? If yes, how to get it online? 2. What insurance car needs to have zero excess?

      Where to live.

by MirandaLand Online Now Nov 19, 2013 at 6:58 AM

May be relocating soon to the C-bus area from Greensboro, NC. It's difficult searching from states away- of course there are crime, income/rent maps and the like but not being in the area to look around makes it difficult to discern good neighborhoods/towns to live in.

What areas inside the beltway and outside (outlying towns, etc) are good to live in? I'm looking mainly for an area that's relatively accessible (i.e. 1-2 miles walking distance to a grocer, farm markets, parks, etc) and the like.

      Thanks!

      Hotel Near Expo Center

by LynnieAshB Online Now Jan 4, 2012 at 7:47 PM

Okay... In April I will be going to Columbus for Equine Affaire. It's at the Expo Center/ Fairgrounds. This is the first year going by myself & I don't drive... I was trying to get a hotel close to the fairgrounds. I booked at the Holiday Inn Express on East Hudson Street. When I first looked up the directions to walk from the hotel to the Expo Center, it was no prob.. I look it up and now it says that there could be sidewalks missing, etc... Does anyone know this area? Is it going to be a problem? I wanted to stay at the Comfort Inn right there, but the price... May still change mind, but...

If anyone knows about the area and if walking is going to be fine, it would be greatly appreciated.

by BillyBobJimBoe Online Now Mar 25, 2009 at 9:40 PM

Hi. In the summertime me and about 7 or 8 other friends are going to be meeting up at Columbus, and most of us will be staying at a hotel somewhere. Just about all of us are driving ourselves. I'm a bit worried because I think it costs for most parking at Columbus hotels - and we're going to have about seven or eight cars. That'd add up to be quite the bill.

Is there any recommended place to go where parking isn't much of an issue (meaning, cheap in this case given the # of cars, or perhaps are there any places with free parking?)

      Thanks!

Hey VT community I have some curiosity about this midwestern neighbor of mine. I have a few questions... Since when is posh shopping Victoria's Secret and Bath&Body Works? Are these not in every shopping mall? I can't think of anything more mundane than Bath&Body. What about Coach, BCBG, Bebe, Saks 5th Ave. etc. And for anyone to refer to JC Penney as anything remotely related to posh is a crime against high fashion, America, and the english language. I find it down right offensive. Come on I have a sense of humor. What is it like for young singles to live in Ohio? In St. Louis there is not a lot of cultural or social activity going on that is not family oriented. For singles here it is church, the bars, or the health club. What about there?
