Jasenovac seems a bit too far to visit as a daytrip from Zagreb, correct? With that in mind, I'd like to find somewhere nearby to stay before either returning to Zagreb or moving on to somewhere east, possible Osijek or Slavonski Brod.
So, can anyone recommend any of the towns near Jasenovac?
Many thanks again

Hi - I'm trying to find out about buses or trains from Maribor to Cakovec and back. When i try to look at international journeys on the Croatian or Slovenian train websites it directs me to the German train site and the results give me journey times that take 11 or 12 hours.
Please can someeone help? I want to go on a week day sometime fairly early in the morning, stay over night in Cakovec and come home to Maribor the next after noon.
Any idea of rough cost in Euros?
Sounds like I need to fill up before arrival.

Hi I'm trying to get to Varazdin from Pristina, Kosovo on 13 June for Radar Festival. Is anybody else going from Kosovo? Anyone have any advice about trains/busses either from Pristina or from Zagreb? I'm working w/ UN mission in Pristina for a short time and still haven't figured out how to get places from here - there don't seem to be many busses/trains.

I and my husband will be visiting Plemenitas for 10 days.
However we could not find any sufficient information on the web regarding Plemenitas, even it is not in some of the maps. I know that it is a small town, there will be an International Ceramic Raku Workshop there.
We will fly to Zagrep, but then how can we reach to Plemenitas?
Any kind of information will be appreciated.
Thank you very much...
Could someone help me tranlate the text below? I know that it is a farm that has both rooms and a dorm. Follows the text and a tentative translation of part of it. I don't have any knowledge of the Croatian language.

I am a South African and living in Qatar. My wife and I are going on a boat cruise on M/S Arion from Koper to Zadar, Ploce, Korcula, Montenegro, Dubrovnik, Split, Pula and back to Koper, but I want to spent the first night in Venice and then start the next evening with this cruise. What will the best and cheapest way to travel so that I can still make it to Koper? I am not sure if it will be better to fly from Doha to Trieste or to Venice and return by same flight back to Qatar.
Is there bus or train transportation between Venice, Italy and Zagreb, Croatia?
If so, how long? Thanks, Betsy
We have three days flying into Zadar and we want to see "pretty, historical, architecture" in the area and are renting a car to drive around the area. We are planning to go to Split. The question is whether or not we have enough time to get to Dubrovnik as well and whether getting there is worthwhile in the short time we have or if we should stick to the Zadar and Split area and see more in and around there. This may be a once in a lifetime visit for us, so we don't want to miss anything that we MUST see, but at the same time we want to spend our time wisely. Please HELP!
I hope you can help me. Myself and my boyfriend are staying in Dubrovnik for a week in August and then travelling to Hvar for a week.
I was advised that the best way to do this is get a bus to Markaska and then take a 10 minute boat trip to Hvar.
Is this correct? Would this be easy to do in high season?
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
