Advice for Lodges/B&B in BC & Rockies

by Dimez Online Now Jan 26, 2013 at 5:07 AM

Dear travellers,
With some help at this forum and at a dutch forum I've completed my itinerary. Now I have to find some places to sleep. I don't care about luxury, what I am searching for is some scenic lodges, cabines, b&b or hostels/hotels/motels. We are with two persons. Our budget is 150 CAD average a night. Some less special places (like Smithers, Prince George) we want to book something cheaper, so we can book in Field/Jasper/Tofino a very nice location in the nature or with a beautiful view. All information is welcome!!!

The itinerary is as follows:
19 juli: Calgary
20 juli: Canmore
21 juli: Canmore
22 juli: Field
23 juli: Field
24 juli: Jasper
25 juli: Jasper
26 juli: Jasper
27 juli: Prince George
28 juli: Smithers
29 juli: Prince Rupert
30 juli: Port Hardy
31 juli: Telegraph Cove
1 augustus: Campbell river
2 augustus: Tofino
3 augustus: Tofino
4 augustus: Tofino
5 augstus: Tofino -> Vancouver
6 augustus: Vancouver
7 augustus: Flying home

This trip will be in 'high season' .
Vancouver Island and Jasper will be expensive.
    Over your 150 per night.
You might consider Golden over Field as there emay be more hote;s there.

You might consider some of the Hotel Chains
like Days Inn, Ramada , Radisson, etc.
An isolated place in the forest with a view will be expensive.
    You may also consider camping.

It looks like you plan to take the Pronce Rupert -Hardy Ferry.
It also looks like you want to seee whales.
