    • NYE in Boston

      Boston Yesterday

We are a family of four adults 54, 55, 24,20. We would like to know the best things to do on NYE, do we stay in a hotel on the waterfront or downtown? Also do we splash out on one of the hotel packages or is there enough to do around the waterfront/copley square with the first night celebration. We are there for five nights, is everything open, what itinerary would be best and can anyone recommend any mid range hotels and restaurants? Thank you

      "7-Day Pass:

Take me for a short walk.

      Boston Sep 13, 2016 at 10:22 AM

I will be in Boston on Friday, December 16. I am having a colonoscopy at Tufts Medical Center (800 Washington St) and they insist that I have an escort meet me after the procedure to take me home. I am staying at the Milner Hotel (78 Charles St). If we exit through the parking structure onto Tremont Street and cut across Eliot Norton Park to Charles Street, the walk would be well short of a quarter mile. I am a solo traveler and do not know anyone in the Boston area. Is there any VTer out there willing to escort me home in the afternoon on Friday, December 16? Thank you very much.

      Cambridge Hotels

by Lauren5020 Online Now Nov 19, 2008 at 11:11 AM

      Hello VT'ers
Going to a conference in Cambridge, MA. It is being held at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge. Pretty pricey, approx.190-200 a night. Looking for something VERY close but cheaper...Anyone familiar with the area? I won't have a car, so it should be within walking distance.
      Thanks for the tips!!

      Head of the Charles

by shohman Online Now Apr 4, 2008 at 3:32 AM

I'm going to Head of the Charles for the first time in years. In the past I had connections that got me prime viewing. This time, I'm left on my own.
      Any suggestions?

Do you need to have a tour to get to see Harvard Yard or can you just stroll through it yourself. Thanks!
