this retaurant is of Botterschtrasse, an old house in the backyard of the hotel.
Inside long wooden tables, fireplace, serving german/austrian food.
No toilet inside, so you have to go the hotels toilet.
What is the name of the place?
how do I get there from the hauptbahnoff
I was stationed in Bremerhaven in the 1960's with the U.S. Navy. I have returned to Germany 2 times since then, but only to the Black Forest and Bavarian areas. I have a beer stein collection from the places I have visited, and even some I have not, but I do not have one from Bremerhaven where I lived for two years. Do you know of any store in Bremen or Bremerhaven where I might buy one? I cannot locate any on the Internet. Vielen Dank!
Which foreign nightclubs can I spend time during my 3 days visit in Bremen
We've booked for a weekend in Bremen end of January. Knowing nothing about the city, aside from a quick at related sites on flight booking, we wonder where is a good place to stay? My German is non existant so I can't work out where's good to stay. Ideally, we'd like a small city centre hotel. We'd rather not go with one of the big multinationals, something more local, centrally located, safe and clean. Any ideas? We like to walk and explore during the day, and in the evening venture out for a bite to eat and a few beers - again, city centre and close to accommodation. Really looking forward to seeing the city, but will be more relaxed about it once we get our accommodation sorted!
I'm looking for some live music in Bremen. Ideally Rock & Roll swing something upbeat.

What is a safe neighborhood for a tourist to find a hotel (not a posh, luxury hotel but a basic nice, clean, simple one) in Bremen? Thank you.
Hello, We will be in Bremen from 24st of september untill 28st. We are looking for some not expensive place in city centre(near) to stay. Please do advise. Thanks in advance.
We live in the United Kingdom, and are trying to do some research into our family history / origins / roots. We know that our ancestors came from Bremen; and that some of our descendants settled in the UK in the early 20th Century.
Please can anyone advise who we might contact In Bremen with our general family history enquiries. I am hoping that there is perhaps a museum with a cultural / family history section who may be able to help (or point us in the right direction).
Please do advise, if you have any ideas on who we might contact In Bremen about this.
Next month of October i shall visit Bremen, Lubecca, Hamburg by car and would prefer to park my car outside the city.
Is there any kind of park and drive like in England?
I need some help please.
I am planning to visit Meyer Werft in Papenburg.
How to can i get there from Bremen Airport by either BUS or TRAIN transits.
Many years ago we were in Bremen and my husband remembers being in a restaurant where a bell was rung each time a fresh beer barrel was opened. He would like to go back, but doesn't remember the name. I don't remember much about this but then I'm not much of a beer drinker.
A google search came up with Beck's zur Glocke. This could be the place, as there is both beer and a bell in the name. However, I couldn't find any information about a bell being rung.
Does anybody know if this is the right place? Do they still ring a bell? Or is it a different restaurant alltogether?
Thank you for your help.
I will be in Bremen on sunday the 1st of july (Accor-hotel near Autobahn), and since I am not that interested in football, I have been so careless as to plan our vacation so we're travelling on the night of the Euro Cup finals ;-)
I am travelling with ny nephews who are both very much into football, and object a lot against watching the finals on a 14" screen in the hotelroom ;-)
Therefore I am looking for some place in Bremen where we can go to see the finale? Is there some areas with big screens, public places that show the game etc?
My nephews are both teenagers, so it should be a "family-friendly" place :-)
Thanks in advance.
I have reserved hotel but not yet flight... my intention is to stay from 19th to 26th of Dec in Bremen. It seems to me that there is lots of doing during the week - shopping, visiting attractions- but what about the Christmas days? Are any places open there, who knows?
What about the price level in Bremen? Compared to the most EU countries, cheaper or expensive? I love German shoes (like Rieker et al): which palces to visit to get them?
There has to be Christmas market, isn't there?
I'll be visiting my daughter who lives near Vechta over Christmas . I'll be flying into Bremen, what's the easiest form of transport to get from Bremen to Vechta?
I am looking for a hotel which has a 'family room' type set up. Either a two bedrooms linked together or 1 bedroom with a lounge area as well. This is so that when we put our son to bed we can go into another area to relax rather than having to sit in silence for the rest of the evening!
Does such a place exist in Bremen city centre?
Hallo! When I visited Bremen I bought a small origami-type ball made out of paper, and it had a hole that a person blows air into to make it puff out into its ball shape. It flattens out into an oval shape with pointy ends when it isn't blown up, and it's glued together. The paper is a kind of tissue, with pieces glued together. I think that Asian origami-makers call it Kami Fusen. I remember that the store also sold a lot (in my opinion) of fabulous kite-making materials. I was absolutely enchanted by the store. Does anybody who lives in Bremen know of any stores there that would sell these things? It might have been a place that primarily sold kite stuff. I went there in 1992.

I will be over in Bremen for a couple of weeks in Sept. My company will supply me with a rental car to drive back and forth to Oldenburg. Would it be easier to use the car to drive to drive around Bremen to see the sights or just use the tram? What about going to East to Hamburg or West to Groningen?
Can anybody tell me where I might get my hands on a bicycle in Bremen for the next month? The Radcentrum by the station offered to rent me one for 80 euros, but I am hoping to do better...
