      Driving from Sarajevo to Podgorica

Bosnia and Herzegovina Oct 9, 2016 at 12:02 AM

We shall be visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Albania next June. I've read up on the drive from Sarajevo to Podgorica (via Foca and crossing the border at Scepan Polje) and what it is like. I am trying to get a good idea of how long the drive will take and if there are any likely delays at the border. According to google maps, the drive is likely to take about 4 hours for the 229 km/142 miles. Not counting stops to take pictures ( I understand it is beautiful, mountainous terrain with often winding stretches of road),is this accurate? This is a fairly slow speed but is it likely to take longer? Will any border delay make ti longer? Thanks.

we want to visit Bosnia in August without a car. We want to stay in Bihac for two nights.
Are there travel agencies where we can book an organized one day trip to Una National Park to see the waterfalls etc.?
(We donĀ“t want to do a rafting tour).

      Thanks for information,

    • Accommodation in Bihac

by SeanG17 Online Now Jun 14, 2014 at 6:06 AM

Hello! I will be in Bihac tonight and tomorrow night and do not have a place to stay yet. I have a tent with me, but I understand that there is are many landmines in the area, so should I consider wild camping out of the question? I haven't been able to find any hostels listed online for Bihac, are there any? If not, I am looking for suggestions of a place to stay, I would like to pay no more than 25 or 30 euro per night. Thanks!

    • Bihac Accommodations and Money

by Nathico Online Now May 25, 2004 at 1:47 PM

I am considering making a trip to Bihac for a night and had a few questions. Can anyone recommend accommodations in town, and approximately how expensive they would be? Any great restaurants, cafes, or bars? Also, will people accept Croatian money there? If not, where could I find an ATM or places to change a little money for a fair rate (I will likely be there on a Saturday/Sunday though) Thanks
