    • Shenandoah NP without a car

      Shenandoah Oct 17, 2016 at 11:58 AM

Hi ! Im travelling from Washington DC, Id like to camp and hike in Shenandoah NP. There are some buses, trains, amtrak etc going to the skyline area, but I can't decide which city precisely I should choose as a start for my discovery of the area.
I know that I can easily find a camping there, but I admit that passing by one of the visitor centers would be great before I start hiking !
I haven't planned to rent a car, so I wonder if you know any entrance easy to reach by foot or by bus.
Which of the 4 entrances do you think is the closest to beautiful siteseeing and can be reached without driving ?
Thanks a lot for your anwers !

I don't know if this is an insensitive question, but we are going to be visitng the cemetery in the summer, and wanted to know what the view is on taking photos at the cemetery.

I just want a heads up on what the attitude about photography is there.

What can you tell me about the Oakwood Arlington Apartments? We are visiting DC for 11 days in June and considering this property.

I recently had to travel from Fort Belvoir, VA to Georgetown. What looked very simple on the map turned into a real nightmare. I got lost several times trying to cross the Key bridge over onto M Street. Does anyone have any good directions traveling up 1-95 into 1-395, what exit to take, etc. Thank you very much.
