My wife and I are Canadian Citizens. Is is true that we can have a Automatic visa on arrival in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi or both? We plan to land in Abu Dhabi, Stay there for three days then go to Dubai by bus, spend another three days, then return to Abu Dhabi by bus and fly out to India. Are all these possible?, trouble free? Any advice/ suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

    • Dubai - Mumbai - AbuDhabi

by Greydudes Online Now Dec 3, 2016 at 10:52 AM

We have a return ticket from Toronto to Abu Dhabi. We plan to land in A.D. stay there for a couple of days and then go to Dubai. Stay in Dubai for few days. The plan is to buy a Dubai -Mumbai - Dubai ticket on Etihad Airline. to stay in India for six weeks. Etihad flights normally carry passengers from Dubai to A.D. and A.D. to Dubai by bus and have the Airline between A.D. and Mumbai.

While we would have tickets to go all the way to Dubai when coming back from India, we hope to get off at A.D. and not go any further to Dubai by Bus. Does anyone see any problem in doing so. We would appreciate any input. Thanks.

    • Public Showers

by jules2016 Online Now Mar 27, 2016 at 4:51 PM

      Hi,
My husband and I are travelling to Europe in May with a layover in Abu Dhabi. We will be flying into T3 and out of T1A for our flight on the way (6am to 9am layover) and then flying in and out of T3 (8pm to 10pm).

I think the public shower facilities are in T1. Does anyone know if these are clean and free? Will they be busy at our times in the airport as I've heard the airport can be extemely busy. Are there any airport lounges in T3 that we can pay to use? I can only see there are lounges in T1 and 2 for guest access. Is it worth paying $65 AUD for each person to gain access to the lounges?

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Travel from Newark to Pittsburgh by car

by Pegasus22 Online Now Jan 31, 2016 at 8:44 PM

      Hi all,

We will be visiting the USA along with my family sometime in Aug 2016. We are a total of 5 adults & two small kids aged 1.4 yrs & 4 yrs.
My question is we are planning on hiring a big car & driving from Newark to Ohio & stopping over night at Pittsburgh.
      The problem is the luggage!
We will be having around 8 suitcases total & hand luggage ...where do we keep all of that!?? I can't seem to find a car big enough to rent to fit us all & the bags! Flights is not an option & only my husband drives...
Do any of you have any suggestions as to what can be done?
I was wondering if v could hire one of those luggage trailers to attach to the car & put our luggage in that Ref pic attached...Any idea where we can hire one for cheap?

Would really appreciate your answers. Thanks in advance!

    • Abu Dhabi visa on arrival

by Jkarry Online Now Oct 21, 2015 at 8:02 AM

Can please somebody clarify, if process of getting visa on arrival for USA citizens for about 12 hours layover is easier, if not flying with Etihad. Looks like Etihad has to be contacted, and pictures are needed, while flying with India air or Egypt air requires not actions prior to arrival. Am I right?

Also, are the private tours safe?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I will be visiting Abu Dhabi for the first time staying 1 week, playing some golf and getting around to see some places as well as go to Dubai for the day and wanted to make sure I was prepared upon arriving appropriate attire that is exceptionable to wear considering I look like a drenched wash cloth in hot weather.
Golfing attire I hope I am capable to wear shorts and nice button up. Anyone have recommendations.

      GETTING AROUND - HELP!

by OliviaPRibeiro Online Now Apr 29, 2015 at 2:17 PM

      Hi everyone,

My boyfriend and I are going to Abu Dhabi for a day. We want to visit the main attractions but in a low budget way, since we are backpackers. So, how people usually get around Abu Dhabi?
What is it best: get a taxi (or even public transportation.. still dont know if it has it) or get a one day tour?

      Thanks!

    • Staying in Abu Dhabi as a young couple

by seaseasea Online Now Jan 21, 2015 at 8:20 AM

My boyfriend and I are planning on visiting Abu Dhabi and Dubai at the end of February. His uncle lives there and we are going to visit him and his girlfriend. However I am not quite familiar with how couples should behave when visiting. I read that showing affection in public is not the best idea, and I also read that unmarried couples shouldn't sleep in the same hotel room. So I am wondering if you have any advices about how couples (we are students) should behave and if it's a problem if we stay at their place. I hope not. Thank you in advance! :)

    • Beach / nice hotel for 20 hour transit

by MCLF Online Now Nov 6, 2013 at 9:11 AM

I have a long transit in Abu Dhabi. I arrive at 1AM and my flight leaves the same day at 10PM on route to Sydney. I'd like to stay in a nice hotel where I can relax, use the pool, maybe go to one of the private beaches, maybe venture out to a restaurant. I realise it's not particularly cultural of me but I really just want to relax before the long flight so not too fussed about seeing the sights. I've emailed a few hotels but they all seem intent on charging me for two nights accommodation because I'll be checking in late.

Can anyone recommend one where I can check out in the afternoon but still use some of the hotel facilities until I have to go back to the airport.

      Thanks so much!
