I can never remember the address to send the home office an email and it is not listed on the home page. Anyway, I know this has been brought up before, but we really need to change the Title of a category on our Restaurant Review pages from "Comparison" to "Price Comparison". I just wrote a new review and checked the box stating the price we paid was average. Looking at the review the category just says "Comparison" and states average. Very confusing to the reader who will now look at this and think I rated the restaurant as average.

'Contact Us' is right at the very bottom of the VT home page, and that page then links to this one: virtualtourist.com/press-cen...

At the bottom. I always look at the top. I've designed some web pages and a lot of training material so I usually am a little critical how things are laid out on pages.

That area at the bottom including Contact Us is not obvious and really gets lost with everything else on the page. Needs to be highlighted so people know they can click on it. Again, VT staff has many more things to do, but future enhancement possibilities.

I always look at the bottom for 'contact us' if it isn't very obviously displayed at the top. That's where it often tends to be on the sites I look at.

Placing it that low is telling people looking at the site, please don't bother us, but if you must we've hidden this really well and you will have to search.

Rich, I agree that VT is a very busy site, which causes some things to not be placed in an optimal spot. In another thread, leics just answered a question about how to delete a travelogue...again, something that was not obvious...I've asked questions myself of a similar nature, and I have been working on computers since 1970 and talking about HTML and the Internet since 1995. Our VT website is just crowded with stuff, and the solution to adding more content is NOT to add more stuff, but to reorganize...but, as G would certainly tell us, reorganizing is a long, painful process that can break as much as it fixes. It's not for nothing that I often find myself looking for the VT site map, with every possible link...so, J, where is the site map here on VT? ;-) Bill

No idea, me duck. I never use site maps so I've never looked. But I'm off to Rome in about 30 mins, so see if you can find it for when I get back on Thurs. :-)

It's common practice to put contact and site info in the footer of pages.

I'm sure it is. When I create my web pages I usually include them in a more prominent location. In the business I have been in one of the first things people look for is how to contact someone. Therefore I make that a very prominent location and easy to find.
