Hi All. Does anyone know how to block stuff that regularly appear in my spam folder in my Yahoo mail? It's a minor irritation having to empty it every day as I do check it just to make sure nothing non-spam has been put in it.
There are filters with some of the "virus protection" software that allow you to create a list that traps and eliminates it, but I've always found those to take up too much cpu. It's easier just to click "trash" once a day to remove everything.

Yeah, I wish there was a 'block sender' button for my Mac mail too - although we don't get that much junk. I guess the really persistent spammers keep changing their names/addresses so it keeps getting through anyway. It's ALL %$%*@#&! Viagra/Cialis crap, too. Between the TV commercials, ads and spam, I wish they'd never invented that stuff.

And here's me needing the "Viagra" mails Kate but all I get are the "Bet 100 bucks and we'll triple it" - I'd rather get three Viagra for the price of one. Did I tell you about the dozen oysters at "The Rising Sun" - four of them didn't work - HA!

When I need that stuff I'm probably dead. BUT back to the question, what spam/virus blockers to you use already? The one for Yahoo actually seems to be ok even though you must delet the bugger periodically. I use Yahoo and filter there but also send it over to Outlook where I have Norton (ok don't go there) filter again. It does slow down the mail send/receive but (knock wood) I've never had a virus.
