FBI shutting down sites

by SONG Online Now Jul 8, 2012 at 7:35 PM

This was also posted in the misc forum. I just heard on the TV that the FBI is shutting down several sites (??) at midnight because there are over 64,000 people in the USA whose computer is somehow infected. At midnight, if your computer is infected, you will not be able to get internet access, until you fix the problem. You can go to DNS-OK.US here in America and see if you get a "green light". This is good. A red light means infection. To fix, you are supposed to go to DCWG.org. I checked and mine is OK.......whew!! :-) Good luck.

Go to a website you never went before to check if you computer is infected. A good way to start an infection. If even made headlines on my morning news here in the Netherlands. PJ

If we're here now there isn't a problem anyway. To clarify: the FBI has been 'hosting/supporting' supposedly-infected computers for some considerable time (supposedly as part of ongoing investigations). That support ceased at midnight, so anyone whose computer was 'infected' will no longer have any internet access.

I saw flashing lights and felt kind of dizzy... But I think it was a bunch of ancient aliens in a flying saucer, not some virus...well, at least it is over now.
