and this is also what I have seen at other member's maps: when-ever someone has pages about more than 5 "continents", all of the rest is not shown right under the map, where you click on the continents, in order to see the first 100 pages of this continent !
My map shows the Middle East (at least, it shows the countries in that region) and you can drag the map, at its max zoom level, to show Antarctica. The Arctic isn't a continent but individual countries which have areas within the Arctic are shown (e.g. Greenland, Russia). You are right that there can only be 6 regions which appear on the tabs under the map (perhaps the font would be too small if they put all of them in?). If you scroll down to underneath the thumbnails they are listed in text.

The present top TAB display layout cannot handle more than 6 tabs when your text size is set to normal. I checked your map page and changed the text size to smallest (on IE view) and suddenly a 7th tab called Oceania (37) kicks in at the right. Please report this TAB boundary issue to feedback@virtualtourist.com. PJ

@leics: it certainly has nothing to do with the fact that the Antarctica isnt a continent, because members, who have not been to more than 5 continents plus in Antarctica, will have Antarctica shown there as well like for member tiabunna: tiabunna's Travel Map - its obviously just a technical problem, because untill some time ago we could push the shown continents to the left by the mouse and see the others as well.

Michael, Antarctica is a continent. The Arctic is not. When I made that point I was replying to the title of your question, where you suggested that your *map* did not show the Arctic etc. I commented on the tab issue separately.
