I like the functionality that allows to transform a reply in the forum into a Tip. A couple of hours ago I had the opportunity to use it, but declined. Thinking better, I realised that the suggestion may be useful to other people, so the Tip would make sense. I know that I can open the tip and copy-paste the contents to it, but, for curiosity here's the question: Is it still possible to transform the answer in a tip after publication?
Interesting. Sorry I don't know the answer but am bookmarking this question in case anyone else does know!

Another bookmarker! But it is I agree important to edit the forum reply before posting as Tip. I see many that make little sense, often starting with Hi there, or Dear So & So. Just this morning iIsaw several from a new member who clearly advertisng -all replies and Tips were quickly deleted

I don't think it is possible. As far as I recall (I've opted not to have this feature because it is quicker for me to write a tip than fiddle for a poster-specific forum reply), the option to 'make this reply into a tip' only appears when you write the reply (and only if you have opted to have it). I've never seen it available at any other time.

I've used it a couple times for very detailed replies. When I opted out, I simply went back and copied and pasted. You really have to edit anyway so it's not that much trouble, especially if you are adding photos. BTW, when I use a forum reply, I state in the tip that it is a reply to a specific question on the forum. I do edit, but in case I miss something, this helps explain very specific advice that may not apply in a general tip.
