I do very vaguely remember something about VT giving cards to members who wanted to contact the press, but this was years and years ago and I can't remember anything else. As I recall, members could just write to staff and get one if they thought it would be helpful.

Thanks - got it now! Ucstwin os a VT Staff member so would probably need a Press Pass now and then. Don't know the other. Maybe what used to be known amongst journalists as a local "runner" or "string".

Wow, nothing gets passed you guys! :) We are going to be testing out a pilot program next week in which we offer a few of the top VT members the opportunity to apply for a VT Blogger Press Pass. We want to test out if having this will help get members access to events/places that media are allowed to go, but the general public isn't. If it's successful, we're going to open up the program to all members. More details to come as that happens.

Sounds great. It sounds similar to what I get from Stark Insider (blog) when attending theater and wine events for them.
