If you have a notice for a friend request, just click on it. You will then get the option to cancel, decline or accept the offer.

I had a friend request yesterday and clicked on it and it didn't show me whether I wanted to accept or reject it just took me to their home page. I went to the member's home page and in the right hand side where it's got profile information (name, location etc) it then gave me the option to 'action friend request' or something along those lines. Clicking on that then brought a pop up asking me what I wanted to do with the request. Seems a bit long winded to me!

Whereas yesterday I had a friend request, clicked on it and got the options I mentioned. So perhaps there was/is a glitch, or perhaps I just happened to hit the right moment after an upgrade had been completed.

It’s like ,, when you add someone as friend with no response from his/her side you can back to his/her page and click on cancel request ,,, so add friend / cancel request / response to request all for that will be done on the member’s home page BR

We agree that it is super long winded! We'll be adding the ability to respond to friend request directly from your dashboard. That will be part of improvements to the dashboard that you'll see in the next few months. So stay tuned!

Hi I tried a lot but no success ....it only shows an option of "Cancel Request ". Even i tried on Invitees home page to accept him as friend but i donot know where I am lacking though well versed in netsurfing . Any further suggestions.

I'm surprised you are having problems. I have accepted a couple of requests today and yesterday. It goes like this: *Click on 'x wants to be your friend' notice *You are taken to the person's profile page. Underneath their personal photo it says something about a friend request (sorry, I can't remember the exact wording). *Click that and you get a choice of cancel, decline, accept...and you click 'accept', obviously. If you are only seeing 'cancel' then it may well be that you have already accepted the request but that the system has not yet 'caught up' with itself to show the member as your friend. Have you checked if he/she shows in your friends list (on your profile page)?

If you have a “ cancel request” on the home page of someone that means he doesn’t response to your request yet. If someone add you as friend you will find “response to request” on his page Really it’s not clear for me who is start this request you/he

I am a little confused. I think you said this person asked you to be a friend and you could not find a way to accept his request? But now you can only see 'cancel request'? Is the person in your friend's list?

No Leics , the said person is not in my friend list. It shows only as "cencel request ". there is another options . If I visit the concerned peroson home page it shos nothing to accept him/her as friend ... In simple way if I visit some one VT home page and send him a friend request , i get it as friend in normal way but if someone else is asking me to accept his /her request it shows me " cancel requets " ??

Can I suggest you write directly to staff at feedback@virtualtourist.com and explain the situation? They will be able to sort it out for you. I'm afraid, from your description, I can't really understand what's going on.
