Which software do you use to recover deleted files/directories? OS is Windows7. Have you had occasion to use it and if so, with what results? Was the price you paid worth the software's claim? Did it recover any pgp shredded file? Thanks!
There are at least a dozen or 2 free software recovery programs on the web. I think the last time I used Recova. The result always depends on the number of write activities (FAT table changes) you did after the problem popped up. It make take several hours to recover a complete disc or big memory card. In the end files are being recovered with different new names (often a kind of serial numbering). PJ

If you have a crashed HD and have to use a professional service, which recreate bit by bit, the cost can be very expensive. My wife's company had to do it one time and it ran over4,000 (US). They did recover 99% of the company data but it defintely cost.
