I mean if I want to switch from the current page to any previous pages (such as from the latest page to the 9th page), not just the next page, how can I?
I'm not quite sure what you mean. VT member pages are not usually numbered. You can use your browser's back button to go to pages you have recently looked at. If you are reading a long thread with many replies, scroll down to the bottom. There you will see page numbers 1, 2 etc and can choose which one you want. If you are looking at someone's travelogues there are page numbers to the far right of the first display.

you can also open a new page in another window or tab, so you can easily flick from one to the other. How you do that will depend on your browser.

For some features you could edit the URL address line and change the page number there. As VT uses more and more JAVA scripts, eding the URL will not work there. I find this a step backwards with previous page selection possibilities. PJ

Since in "Travel forum" I read all topics in page 1 and page 2, but I closed the window by mistake. Now if I dont want to reread page 2 but switch from page 1 to page 3 to continue my reading, is it possible? I think I can click the next button twice but just in case of switching from page 1 to 10 or more...

As I have said above, if forum threads continue for more than one page you will find pages 1, 2, 3 etc linked at the bottom right of the thread. You may not be able to immediately leap from page 1 to e.g. page 10 but this will speed matters along. Otherwise, the only way you can go back to the exact page is either by using your browser's back button, or checking your browser's history (where all pages you have viewed will be stored) or by copying the page URL (address) and pasting it into the address bar when you open a new window or tab.
