I see that my friends notice says that I have 7 friends on line, and when I click on that notice, I see that I have 8. Conclusion: That number (7) doesn't count a friend I've added after the new changes: What about you?
Could it just be that the counting system is a bit retarded and No. 8 only just came online?

I think it has much to do with the changes/updates of the past few days and this member was added by me the other day

Good catch! I'm the one responsible for this bug. :( You're absolutely right about your diagnosis, new friends aren't being tracked in the "online" system. When we made the changes to the friend system we slightly broke the online functionality. The good news is that this already fixed in our code base and you'll see the results the next time we do a release. That should be in the next week or so.
