Hi, I have considered using Google Chrome as my browser but have not yet set it as my default as I want to give it a good try-out first. It seems quicker than IE8 and VT works great. However, on IE8 I have the "File" Edit" "View" Favorites" and "Tools" headings at the top. I can't see how to replicate this (especially "Favorites") in Chrome. Have you managed to do this or is there another methodology in-use?
I am using Chrome..and you will find these option at right side corner,,and that option looks like " Spanner ".. under which you will options..

Thank you! I have got it - Not very intuitive though is it?

Only because you are so used to IE, imo. It was the same with me when I started using Chrome about 2 years ago. Give me a shout if you get stuck on anything (removing cookies, for example..I've just found out how to do that!). Definitely much more stable than IE8, in my experience.

My grandson (zzeone) told me G Chrome is good for translating into other languages

Agree. you can set it up to offer immediate translation of webpages, which I find very useful indeed for obvious reasons.

It certainly does look promising - the maps are a lot quicker especially. However, I used to do things like delete browsing history, cookies, temporary web pages etc each week and things like that don't seem as easy to find. There doesnt seem to be any top menu bars etc. Also, at work I have to amend settings such as use of a proxy server - I havent found THAT yet either! But no doubt it will all fall-into place!

No top menu bars but deleting history etc is easy...spanner>history. Or spanner>tools>clear browsing data (you then have a choice of options to tick to decide which browsing data you want deleted) You can delete cookies like that or, to delete them individually: spanner>tools>settings> advanced settings (scroll down for link)>content settings>all cookies and site data

Should have said that spanner>history also gives you boxes to tick. :-)
