Funny I have only just noticed, but when you update a tip or review the date doesn't actually "update". This seems a little bit of a misnomer that I wrote a tip say in 2008, I go back to the place and find it has changed or I add a couple of photos that I didn't have the first time, update it with the new pics, but under the tip it says "updated" but with the same date, 2008, as I first wrote the tip. How are people to know that I updated it today and not in 2008 ?
Plenty of discussion on this aspect of VT here. I have started writing, "First Written: " at the end of each review/tip these days. When I do update the same tip in the foreseeable future, shall add the next date then. Something like a publishing history is a book.

Thanks for the reply Anil, good idea. But it seems to have happened only since the last big update (no pun intended) on VT. I'm pretty sure the date changed before.

I always add an "2012 update: " before my new tip text additions (for this year). PJ
