I can’t upload a video during several days. After uploading of my video is over I receive “You are in Nowheresville! This page doesn't exist. You may have mistyped the address. Some of our pages are case sensitive.” But I’ve uploaded successfully other videos some time ago just on the same my page ‘Mexico’. Just the same when I try to upload a video on my 'Hungary' page. What has happened?
You may be running into a glitch associated with the security upgrade earlier this week. I haven't tried to upload a video in the past week, but there are several other intermittent glitches on site (perhaps the solar flare isn't helping?). I suggest you drop a line to feedback@virtualtourist.com to let them know there's an issue, but keep trying anyway. Chances are they already know and are working on a fix. Fingers crossed! :-)

I had exactly the same problem yesterday and got the "Nowheresville" page. The videos appear when I go into "edit this page" but are not showing on the pages themselves. So I don't know if they have loaded or not sincve I can't play them.

As you have 3 vids numbered but only 2 thumbails showing I wonder if it's a time-lag thingie? Perhaps the new vid will appear as a thumbnail around 24 hours after you uploaded?

Sorry this is the first I have heard about this one, so I am guessing it won't be resolved until tomorrow. But it is on the radar now. -Todd

Cheers Todd - but what would be a useful piece of info would be whether the vids I uploaded are somewhere in your system or whether I'll need to re-upload them. One was for Copenhagen and the other for Lundy Island.

I will respond to you via this thread when I know for sure. -Todd

I've tried to upload a video once again - the same problem...

Should be fixed now. What you've uploaded before when getting a nowheresville page, you need to reupload. Sorry for the inconvenience. :)

What I've found is that it takes a bit of time before the "your video will soon be ready" (or whatever the wording was) screen is replaced with the video itself.

Yes, I didn't see the message “You are in Nowheresville!" like it was before, but I didn't see the message "Your video is almost availible" which we used to see before. I waited for about 20 minutes - no results. A number of my videos in the top of HP differs from a number of pages in "See All videos" in the right part of HP, where I can see the last successfully uploaded video and can't see two other videos which I tried to upload after it.

Sergey, what did you see instead of the Nowheresville or the video is almost available? Can you try re-uploading them?

I saw an orange line 100% full, which didn’t change for 20-30 minutes after I uploaded first video on my Mexico page. I tried to upload another video on my Hungary page with the same orange line 100% full in the end but I can’t see these two videos anywhere… I’ll try to upload it once again if you ask.

Yes, a video has been uploaded on my Hungary page (after the third attempt) and now is almost available! When I'll see it I'll try to find videos which had been uploaded previously and if I fail to find, I'll upload them once again...

The problem might be with the 3rd party video provider that we use. If you're still seeing the flash uploader not going anywhere, that's the 3rd party provider still taking in the upload. If it uploads successfully the provider then does a callback to us and then you'll be taken to the video view page on VT. We can't really do anything regarding the upload process to the provider and the processing time that they take. Since we're not doing video processing internally. May I ask how big the video files are? The ones you're having problems with. If it happens frequently, we can send an email to the provider to see what's going on, on their end.

Unfortunately just the same problem has just occurred when I tried to upload a video on my Mexico page… I have never had such problems before though uploaded 781 videos on VT(from 50 Mb to 500 Mb). The last video which I’m having a problem is 307 Mb. It has been uploading for almost an hour. When the process was over I saw a flash uploader (100% orange) which was not going anywhere… I waited for 20 minutes - and no result... This evening it happened for the third time… I successfully uploaded 178 Mb file (after the second attempt) but failed to upload a 134 Mb file. I left the page and went away (it's a midnight here in Moscow). Till tomorrow, Alex!

I've successfully uploaded several videos this morning! May be the problem has got away... Will try once again in the evening.
