Importing Videos

by janetanne Online Now Mar 8, 2012 at 5:04 AM

Is there a way I can take a video that I have created in Picasa and import it to my VT pages? I have also uploaded this video to youtube. The file is no longer on my camera memory. Thank you.

If you have it on Picasa you should have it on your Picasa library. You should be able to, once you pull it up on Picasa go to your File option on your tool bar, hit "save as", name it and save it to your hard drive. You can then upload it to VT.

    1. Download *free* version of YouTube Downloader here: youtubedownload.altervista.o... 2. Install this delightfully useful software. 3. Access the URL of your YouTube upload and using YouTube Downloader, download your own video and save it. 4. Upload this downloaded video of yours to VT. 5. I have used too many words of upload and download. Hope I have not confused you.

This is what I tried first...'save as' on my desktop, but the entire file did not save...only the cover screen saved. I thought I would be able to save the video file on my hard drive and then upload to VT as I do photos...but when I tried to save the video, it didn't work.

I will try the youtube download idea. I do understand that concept, just haven't done this before. I will give it a try though as this sounds like something I should know anyway:):) Thank you both for your very clear help. I really appreciate your input. Maybe, I will have a new video to add to my Spetses page in a few days!!!
