I think the manager is enjoying his well deserved holidays in the sunny Spain, and maybe he is tasting too much real sangria and he forgot about us. I really miss my virtual pints of german beer. I am starting a virtual demonstration to protest against this. We have the right to our pub!!!
Well, if 'virtual' German beers are on offer, I'll have a Koelsch - actually several, as they come in such teensy weensy little glasses! Thanks for opening up, Miguel. If you're open to the option of a beer, then can we presume that no Bulgarians have been leading you astray this week?
No, no crazy bulgarians this week! To be true, we´ll met him, and the colombian friend tonight, but just to go out of the city with a telescop, have dinner and watch the stars. He is a fanatic of astrology and wants to show us some stars, so it seems a nice plan. Yes, everything is on sale today as the manager is out, and we can take whatever we want!
How kind of Daarth to allow us free drinks and he will pick up the tab. A Very Nice Man.... a bottle of best champagne please.
But I think he hided the "replicator" so we just can drink what he left...no chance to replicate anything.
Just finished a lunch made of salad.. I'will take a tea, maybe I'll wake up too!!
Luckely the VT diehards still have an alternative: The VT Tavern: cache.virtualtourist.com/6/1... ... and the real VT dinosaurs have there fun in the VT Home for the Elderly :) PJ
i see friday VT pub mentioned a few times in the forum, what exactly is this?
Mostly lots of virtual sitting around drinking virtual alcoholic beverages and talking real rubbish ...
Anyone fancy a peanut?
Always Sue. PJ
*passes the bowl around* it's about time we had a pub quiz or some pub facts: Not all common frogs in the UK are green some are red or brown.
What are the names of the 2012 Olympic mascots? Bonus question: Do we have VT pages with contens for their names? PJ
Here's what's on TV in the VT pub: apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap120710.... It's Matt the Dancing Man, dancing with people in countries around the world. Very VT, and it brings a smile to my face.
"i see friday VT pub mentioned a few times in the forum, what exactly is this?" As they sang in my all time favourite serie: "where everybody knows your name, and they are always glad you came"...cheers of course.
I could Google this, PJ, but in the spirit of the VT pub, I won't. They are called Wenlock and ... well, something else ... and are, beyond question, the most appalling mascots ever conceived. Even the Old Soviet Union - which was inordinately big on "Boy Meets Tractor" narratives - managed to conjur up the delightful Mischa the Bear. But London offers the sort of DIY tool that you'd hope that your grandfather wouldn't bequeath you in his will!
I would like a fizzy water with ice and lemon please...my fingers hurt form sewing and pinning...3 more curtains to go....arrghh
Hi everyone, hope Daarth is having a great time in Spain. Thanks for opening the vt pub. I already know who the mascots are but I would be cheating because I got the info from VT Olympics.C'mon Aussie C'mon!!! I will have a strong coffee please as it's only 9.12 am here in Cairns. Cheers dears
I spent all day cleaning the fridge and defrosting the freezer.... I'll have a cup of tea please. Nearly time for dinner!!
Hola! Back to drinking office coffee today! don't know why I drink it since I hate office coffee lol
Welcome back. I am sure you miss the sangria! AS you can see the pub is clean, everybody paid for their drinks and we behaved correctly while you were gone!
That sounds terrible!
That's why you can't go away on a Friday anymore, daarth.
Miguel, shame on you!!! Your statement is what is referred to in Cockney rhyming slang (a London slang) as a 'porkie pie'!!! (Pork pie = lie). Or, at best, economical with the truth, but we felt very well disposed to you in the process, Daarth!
haha!!!It was not me doing any cleaning up because I did'nt spill a drop of the good red. The glass and empty bottle were left on the bar at least they looked clean so no worries mate!!! Sending Daarth a virtual cup of good coffee. Cheers
