it seems weird another move, it seems average a move every 7 yrs of my life, this one lasted almost 9, and I am sure will missed Versailles. Even if going to a pretty place in the Morbihan of Brittany. How it has been your moving from places you had already adjusted and know the surrounding very well ,then go to a whole new place? Can be in country or from country to country ( I did that four times already lol!)

Good luck. I have to do the same pretty soon, end of August Vancouver here I come!! It will be unusual and new, but I am looking forward to it. Bit scared. Have 3 piles, discard, sell & pack.. and no matter how much I cut it down still have everything but the kitchen sink to pack :)

Hated the hassle, loved having somewhere new to discover. Hope to move a least once more in the future, but all depends on finances.

I know, so many things to decide to take or throw away. funny story, we try to sell some, very cheap prices n an online place here , and was able to sell some but not all. I had my old computer desk with out printer table made in USA; offered to some neighbors but too bulky heavy wood nobody wanted it/ This morning put it out on the street for anybody to take before the big item garbage pickup next thursday. IT was gone in minutes we didnt even see it gone the whole thing!!! Now if can get rid of my dining room board that would be nice, the rest is going and pack ,ready to load to the truck tomorrow. By yours truly and the gang We had several months of preparation so a lot has been siffted thru and we are just left with the good stuff to take on. Still truck is 20 M3 cubic meters. And on my trips here everytime took 3 or 4 boxes with me, so imagine. Not to mentioned the paper work changes, some can be done online but others need to show up. I am now doing my computer from the floor hehehe all we do for VT ::)

Your right its time to move on again...somewhere warm would be nice

Well, my perspective is a little different. We moved 11 times in the first 17 years we were married. Some were in the same city but to different cities 6 times. We have moved only twice since and have been in the same house 26+ years. I hope to be in a box next time I move. However, each time we have moved has been an exciting event and done with anticipation for the new place. The first time we moved, all our worldly possessions were in a U-Haul trailer. Stuff accumulates the longer you are in the same place and I would not want to go through the process of sorting, selling and "ridding" it out. Plus I am very happy in my house and home town.

oh NO--the dining room table!? some nice meals there.......maybe one day we will share another in your new area...... YES, lots of memories, difficulties leaving things behind, our move from California to Mexico was HUGE in all ways, next time we will leave almost evrything large (furniture), but just the papers, books, art and mementos create a lot of problems...... once you get settled, it will all be worth it! will be thinking of you, P.

well I am back today, the move is over with. all went well. Now just some paperwork changes to make and thats it. A new life out west ::) This weekend we will chill out the area showing the family what I learn already ::) yes the table was gone sold to the neighbors viajesdelmundo, another time another table cheers Thanks for sharing your stories on this thread. Thanks. we are all together again and its nice. just had our lunch brunch with lots of pate, foie gras and cheeses of different kinds with Breton cider and far breton for desserts plus ice cream love it, even if on a cloudy grey rainy day all day lol!!
