Anyone here with any experience caring for baby foxes? These four grey fox cuties showed up about four weeks ago underneath then on the back deck. They are too timid to take photos of outdoors so we have been taking them indoors. The four babies and their mom are active nearly all day between rummaging on the deck and climbing the trees (yes foxes can climb trees). Here is a non hyperlink that shows them two days ago; "To Travel is To Possess the World: Update IP 1/13" - TooTallFinn24's Profile Lots more pics if anyone is interested :)
Oh my word Steven they are so darned cute. Love them.
Interesting. There are lots of ravines in Toronto which provide a perfect highway for wild animals to enter the city. Foxes and coyotes appear in the resedential areas , when they are looking for food . ie. Mainly domestic cats and small dogs. When the food source disappears your foxes will move on.
Well they don't show any signs of moving out of this free hotel yet plus they are a lot of fun to watch :)
What do you mean by "Caring" for baby foxes? What do you mean by "taking them indoors"? You mean you bring the foxes indoors? If mom's around, mom will take care of them. Yes, they are grey foxes and grey foxes do climb trees. Love foxes.
If their mom is still around, I'd leave them alone - she'll care for them. In fact, I probably wouldn't handle them too much. Yes, they'll probably move on when they're old enough to find their own food.
Those foxes are adorably cute Steven! Great pictures of those babies.
Thanks Gianna. They are really cute and a joy to watch.
