Unfortunately I must switch my status from attending to virtual attendee. It's a long story but suffice it to say, work related. I'm going to really miss not attending this one. agraichen

Count me in too. I would be very honoured to be a VA at the meet as the States seems to be a place I never seem to actually get to. What do I need to do, submit a photo or something or can you use my profile pic?
How VAs are organised depends on the individual meet organisers. For Bergamo, VAs were put 'on offer' by Hansi on a Misc thread and then attendees told him who they'd adopt (which he then announced on the thread, regularly updating it). What photos etc were used, and the format of the 'VA' card itself, depends on the individual attendee. They contacted the VA and sorted things out between them. That's what happened for my VAs in Krakow too: I adopted someone and I made the cards using (I think) a larger pic they sent me via Vtmail.

I think Hansi's system worked really well for Bergamo.
Lori & I had to cancel our trip to Seattle World meet for personal reasons . I will always be willing to help doing the VA thingy for any VT meeting in the future ,but only if and when I am asked by organizers . Hansi

I would like to be a virtual attendee at Seattle. Whenever I have asked in the past, nothing happened. Keeping fingers crossed this time.
