I will, in few minutes, as usual, enjoy “World Music Day” ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F%AAte... ). Listening to all sorts of music styles, on the streets, having drinks and snacks; a good evening in perspective. . . Have you that event where you live or stay? Is it important? Wish you all a wonderful (shortest of the year) night, rocked by wonderful music!
Here in St Malo it is tomorrow, good job as it is chucking it down outside.
Just watched the first concert to kick start the London 2012 Festival. The Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra of Bolivia performed live from Stirling, Scotland with youngsters - some as young as 6 years - from the local Raploch Orchestra, Big Noise, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. Neither the inclement weather nor the chill dampened their enthusiasm and musical abilities. They were rewarded by rapturous applause and a great firework display from Stirling Castle towering above the open air concert venue.
No! Silly mistake - it was of course the Simón Bolívar Youth Orchestra of VENEZUELA that I was listening to.
Mmmm, I think we dont have one, here in Guadalajara (dont know someother places in the country) but instead we have a "Festival Mariachis" in September and we receive Mariachis from all over the world. Very very nice !!
