Okay, VT race horse fans. No Triple Crown winner this year. I'll Have Another just dropped out. Seems the horse had one too many. So, 86 on I'll Have Another for the Belmont Stakes, the last leg of the Triple Crown. Kind of fizzles the Belmont to just an ordinary horse race. :-(
Yes Larry it made me sad and then after work tonight I watched the movie Secretariat and now it makes me even sadder. reading the posts online the news sites goes from being happy to put the horse before the wallet, to being cynical to the point of thinking the horse would not win and therefore is worth more if not to lose. I choose to believe it was done for the benefit of the horse and I do believe without the injury could have won. That Secretariat was an amazing animal though.
A lot of people may watch and even bet on horse races. Few know how fragile a horse really is. Many things can go wrong with the body and the legs are very important not to mess with. I am sure that even if the horse would not win the Belmont, the owners would have liked to see it run. The life of the horse is the number one priority. Look how much the owners of Barbaro tried to save the life of this great horse. Sad we don't get to see the attempt at the Triple Crown, but happy that the future of the horse is life. :-)

It is easy to get one crown including a purple robe, if you sip Crown Royal Whiskey. Not only is it in a purple robe bag, but has a gold draw string. Now, that is a crown fit for any royalty. ;-)
hahaha no I was thinking of the horse crown in racing,but will take the crown whiskey over the horse's crown any time ::)
Not a holiday that is celebrated in the part of the world i am right now but for a change i will actually finish a job... more
