Thanks, PJ. In the US, paddleboarding is where you stand up on a surfboard and use a paddle to help you move across the ocean. It is not like kayaking, because with kayaking, you sit. It looks like this. google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt... It may have another name in other countries?

"Post Theft!" - could it be a signal that few people are interested in the subject?

Well, I am sure you mean the standup paddleboarder as just using the term paddleboard reminds me of my youth at Lake Gregory in Crestline, CA. Paddleboards were a at least a 4-5 inch thick flat board shaped more like the shape of a destroyer but only about 12 feet in length. There is a race from Catalina Island to the mainland of California since 1928 called the Catalina Classic. As for what the other version is called is Stand Up Paddleboarding or SUP for short. Suping ocean waves and even calm waters, I knew in the 60's on the shores of Kailua, Oahu Hawaii and now is becoming a hot sport even on rivers. Boards can be more tapered similiar to a surfboard but some can be at least 12 feet long for better balance. One thing for certain, the view is much better standing up and your arms and lower legs are not in the water for shark bait. :-)
