Obviously a number of active VT members in or are on the way to Bergamo. So where are the rest of you today? I'm at home in chilly, rainy Naperville (almost 100 degrees 3 days ago and 55 degrees today), but at least the lawn is getting watered and the car is getting a free wash!
I'm at home in chilly, damp, grey Leicestershire. But not for much longer. One more sleep and I'll be joining the others in Bergamo (which hopefully will be neither chilly nor rainy)! :-)
I'd love some of that rain.... the clouds keep teasing us and then moving on to dump our rain elsewhere. Am overlooking browning grass in Ontario, Canada.... its only about 16C today, and was almost 40C earlier this week. Quite worried that my VA self is misbehaving in Bergamo.... or even worse, is not misbehaving and gets comments about being dull and boring!!!!
I'm in chilly rainy Scotland, but had a good day out and about getting things done. Just about to check on the weather forecast for the weekend.
Last time I saw my VA self was having some gelato.
Im still in Belgium..its raining now... we just spend 2 hours out the back unblocking the septic tank run away pipe...nasty work...but at least its all running clear again now...still have not packed...not had a shower yet...washing machine and dishwasher still need to go on...bugger!
Septic Tank - YUCK Glad we never had to deal with any of those!!!!
It is raining in sunny SE Queensland too. Took our Irish visitor lady for a drive to Noosa....more beautiful but windy beaches on the way while Daddy Irish visitor played lawn bowls in between the rain (bowlers are mad) (He tells us they do not have much opportunity to play lawn bowls in Ireland) They are off back home on Saturday
at home, enjoying one of our 350 per annum sunny clear days, about 90F but low humidity!!
350 per annum clear sunny days. Doesn't that get boring? LOL
we have lots of little variables of course, but I am not in charge! in addition to the sky changing, we have to monitor the sea and the winds.... :-))
I am home nursing my husband and pop into VT as much as possible,am looking forward to my VA self having heaps of fun with Kirsty and Suets VA self in Bergamo...don't forget us Kirsty!!!! Oh!!and it has been raining in Cairns for the last 5 days. I tried to stay up until midnight last night to be on skype with Hansi and the gang but,I started to fall asleep and went to bed.
I just spent last weekend up in Salvador since I had business there. One day of work and they paid the 3-day weekend. And in about 12 hours, I'll be doing a repeat in Sao Paulo. This is when I like my job... But if rarely brings me close to the VT meets
Well we will just have to bring VT meets to you Dave.
Dorisse, maybe our VA selves in Burgamo can get in a little trouble together! Who is your VA host?
I guess I spelled it Burgamo because it is so darn chilly here today!
Come on down to South America... I'll be here a while! I'm thinking my next visa renewal trip will be to French Guiana. If it works out, I'm going to try to watch one of the next launchings from the ESA launch pad.
I didn't realize there was a launch pad there. Thanks for the info.
>>>>>350 per annum clear sunny days. Doesn't that get boring? LOL ah...Hello Rich. NEVER!!!!! try it, you'll like it!!!! :-) In fact, "Sunshine" ( my new convertible) got a thorough detailing today and then out for a spin. Lovin that car!!!!!
And I too am a VA and wondering what kind of troule John Gayton is getting me into. I'm not capable (snicker) to do so on my own, so he is leading the way.
But the key ingredient she mentioned is "low humidity". That Florida humidity just wipes me out.
John does have that ability! He was the first VT'er that I ever met. That was a long time back in Colorado... Say hello for me
OH DONT WORRY!!! our humidity will get HIGH and coupled with LOW BAROMETRIC PRESSURE which makes it unbearable----Aug/Sep.......so I have to boast NOW.
Sitting in a loading dock in Texas waiting for Rich to play a word.....
Sitting in a loading dock in Texas waiting for Rich to play a word.....
Alright, alright already. I've been helping my middle son move and picking up some stuff from my daughter's today. We could have used somebody who is familiar with the trucking industry today.
You know my number Rich :0)
Rich, my VA host is KShezz (Kirsty) and I really would love us to give those VA's some trouble haha.
Im still not even dressed!
Come on girl!!!get your finger out lol.
I have a long standing commitment to be in Ingolstadt (Bavaria) next week, so no Bergamo for me. Not a VA either - don't want those hooligans getting me in trouble. I know what goes on... Yesterday - demanding day. Breakfast seminar, then off to Edinburgh for a meeting. It was supposed to take 30mins and took 4 hrs. Plus I got drenched on the 10 min walk from station to office. In the evening I had to go to a charity fundraising pub quiz. My team won - and all 4 of us are blondes! So, we had more fun.
