Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know that we are currently looking for a new cover photo for our VirtualTourist Facebook page. If you want in on the fun, simply post your photo to our wall, caption it Cover Photo Submission and include your VT member name. All entries must be received by this Friday at noon PST and should be horizontal photos. We'll announce the winner on Monday, and in addition to having their photo featured on our page for the next month, they'll also get some VT Flip Flops!! If you aren't on Facebook but you still want to participate, feel free to email me your photo, just write Cover Photo Submission in the subject line, and be sure to include your name and VT member name! Blake, I'm not on FB and won't ever be. I won't flog it, it is a long-standing thing here about my feelings for it. However, what type of thing are you looking for? Do you want a standard pretty landscape pic, a VT flag type thing to promote the site, a "cute kids" shot to get people going "Awwww", something else? I could do with the flipflops, I lost mine a couple of weeks ago and the Philippines really don't seem to supply appropriate replacements for my huge feet!

I wonder when it will be mandatory to buy a plane ticket or to pay taxes or open a bank account...I am pretty sure that day will come.
When I read a statistic from a reliable source that supposedly one in nine of the world's population is on FB, I really start to worry. I'm glad it is not just me that thinks like this.
And not me either,I am not interested and have actually been put down and repeatedly called 'old fashioned' because I refuse to join.My choice not to and I get really 'pi!!ed' off when people tell me it's the best thing since sliced bread..I don't go around trying to force people to join VT,I let people know how good it is,give them the info and it's up to them to follow through,not me pestering and putting them down if they don't. Amen.
